Insulated concrete forms are stacked foam blocks that are reinforced with steel and filled with concrete. The result is a solid, continuous wall with built-in insulation on both sides: no thermal bridging, no drafts, almost no outside noise, and a structure that shrugs off wind, fire and pests. JKF builds ICF foundations, above-grade walls and complete homes, then finishes them with our own carpenters and masons.
ICF foundations for new homes and additions, full-height ICF walls, walk-out basements, garages, and complete custom homes. We also build traditionally framed homes when that is the better fit.
An ICF home typically cuts heating and cooling costs substantially, stays quiet next to a busy road, and has a basement that feels like the rest of the house. Insurance and resale value benefit from the solid construction.
We are a general contractor with our own carpentry, masonry and flooring crews, so the same company that pours your ICF walls frames the roof, lays the stone and finishes the interior.
Who runs your project
Jesse was born into the trades. He worked for his father's company, J&J Masonry, from a young age, completed a Red Seal masonry apprenticeship and spent years on the tools as a stone mason before taking ownership when his father retired. Over the next decade he built the team that is now JKF Custom Construction, bringing Arrow Hardwood & Laminates and Decked Out Carpentry into the company. He leads a hand-picked team of tradespeople who treat every project like their own home.
